The new improved Craft Talk

Here's a possible model of how this network evolves:

  • Craft Talk continues as a platform for discussing what's happening in our half of the world
  • It will continue to host a craft event calendar, blog posts, forums and images.
  • But it will also include profiles of artists, galleries, exhibitions or groups. These brief but punchy profiles

    will help us engage us with

    what's happening across our region.
  • To cover costs, membership will be $20 a year.…

Here are some overall impressions.

  • We are mix of primary and secondary craft practitioners (makers and writers)
  • We like visiting Craft Talk to get information, connect with others and discuss burning issues
  • We think it should mainly focus on contemporary craft
  • Many of us have a Facebook account, but we don't always use it.

Anithiya - All is Transient is a workshop/ installation by weaver/textile designer Samorn Sanixay who collects leaves, seeds, berries and various plants that are in season locally sources in her neighbourhood to dye her hand woven textiles. Samorn works between two places-Sydney and her EasternWEFT workshop located just outside of Vientiane, Laos.
